Help raise money for ovarian cancer

As most of you know, my mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer back in April. Well, she’s half way through her treatments and is feeling okay…she’s getting used to having no hair…I keep telling her bald is beautiful!! My dad has shaved his head and so did Jason [my hubby]. Everyone is showing their support in whatever way they can. Which brings me to my point…

Mom, Janice [my sisterinlaw - Trevor's wife], Pierrette [my motherinlaw] and I are participating in a walk to raise money for ovarian cancer research. It happens on September 7th, 2008 in Barrie…it’s a “mini-walk” they’re calling it…they want to see how much of a response they can get. So, my point…I created this necklace for the Drayton Fair [happened this past weekend]. It is the Ovarian Cancer Ribbon colour [teal]…I am selling this on my etsy store…it will be the first item up for grabs there!! Please visit my store to purchase this necklace and the ENTIRE amount goes to our pledge amount. I will put the amount in your name and you will even get your tax receipt. PLUS you get the necklace. So everyone wins. :0)

We are well over our goal of raising $600 already…and we have a little under a month left to raise money.

I was pleased with the way they turned out. I did some paper piecing {stamping the image on different pattern papers and cutting them out.} I coloured the guy in with the watercolour pencils and then added his clothing.
